Betapak is heavily involved in helping the Island community in important ways. For example, staff provide support for numerous sporting and social activities.
The Company also works with the Young Chamber and several local schools, which covers experience in logistics, customer response and the sales team, to help ensure future employability for youngsters when they leave full-time education.
Betapak not only supports sports and social activities directly, but also encourages staff members who contribute their free time to youth soccer, carnivals, sporting and school events by providing sponsorship and through flexible working arrangements.
We have worked closely with several schools on different projects, and have offered work experience placements and holiday internships to Island youngsters. We have also recently begun working with the Education and Employers’ Taskforce, which will continue the Company’s active participation in the Young Chamber initiative.
Betapak adds value to all these and many more charities, clubs and schools.
The Company has received recognition for its community work, including winning the Business in the Community Award at the 2012 Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Excellence.
