Meet The Team
Managing Director
Peter Tomlinson
Peter came to the Isle of Wight in 1968 when his father took a job with Britten Norman.
He studied Economics at the London School of Economics, and then joined Procter & Gamble. Over the next sixteen years he progressed through the company, holding a variety of posts in sales, marketing and general management, spending his final 5 years with them based in the Middle East.
He decided to "retire" from P&G and return to the Island in 1996 for family reasons.
Peter started to build a residential and commercial property business (which continues today) but in 2007 decided to take on a new challenge when he bought Betapak from the previous owners who were leaving the Island, beginning a period of dramatic expansion for the company.
Although Betapak takes the majority of his time, Peter is MD of several other diverse businesses on the Island.
Peter is actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce as a main board director. He founded and chairs the IW Landlords Forum and is an active member of St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cowes.
